FPD Takes Third in Regions Bank Directors Cup

MACON, Ga. – First Presbyterian Day School finished in third place for the 2012-13 athletic year in the Regions Bank Directors Cup, an award that goes to the school athletic department that accumulates the most points overall in a school year – combining the results of every girls and boys varsity athletic team to get a cumulative total.

FPD totaled 982 points out of the 97 member schools in Class A. Gordon Lee took the overall award while Holy Innocents finished second.

The Vikings finished the 2012-13 season with 555 points, good for first place on the poll, while the Lady Vikings took seventh on the list with 427 points.

“I just can’t express how proud I am of our kids and our coaches,” Athletic Director Greg Moore said. “This is a significant achievement and God has certainly blessed us!”

Overall, FPD had twelve athletic teams qualify for GHSA postseason play in 2012-13.
