Cross Country Races to Finish at Wesleyan Invitational

NORCROSS, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School girls and boys cross country teams competed in the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday morning, September 7, with  both squads posting respectable finishes.

In the girls race, the Lady Vikings took third place overall out of 10 teams, posting 92 team points.

FPD was led by Jessica Smith (21:25) in 5th place and Savannah Phillips (21:53), who crossed in 7th place. Katie O’Quinn (22:50) was 14th, respectively.

In the boys race, the Vikings took 10th place with a strong finish from Will Martin’s 13th place run (18:37). Paul Young crossed the line in 28th at 19:14, respectively.

The cross country teams return to running on Saturday, September 21, co-hosting the FPD/Warner Robins Invite at the Georgia Children’s Home. First race is scheduled for 8 a.m.
