Football No. 25 in First GHSA Power Ratings of 2013

MACON, Ga. – After a tough start to the 2013 season, the First Presbyterian Day School football team (0-2) is rated at no. 25 in the first power ratings of the 2013 season, released today, Sept. 10, by the GHSA office.

The rankings are used at the end of the regular season in Class A to determine state playoff qualifiers, with the top-16 teams from public and private schools advancing to the tournament.

FPD had a 5.5 overall ranking and is less than five points out of the top-16 teams in Class A private.

The Vikings have their scheduled open date on Friday, Sept. 13.

FPD returns to the gridiron on Friday, Sept. 20, welcoming Pace Academy to George S. Johnson Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

The Vikings defeated the Knights 24-20 last season in Atlanta.
