Football Up to No. 19 in Third GHSA Power Ratings of 2013

MACON, Ga. – After a thrilling 28-18 win over Pace Academy last week, the First Presbyterian Day School football team (1-2) is up seven spots at no. 19 in the third power ratings of the 2013 season, released today, Sept. 24, by the GHSA office.

The rankings are used at the end of the regular season in Class A to determine state playoff qualifiers, with the top-16 teams from public and private schools advancing to the tournament.

FPD had a 9.5 overall ranking and is one point away from a spot in the top-16.

FPD returns to the gridiron on Friday, Sept. 26, traveling to play the Lincoln County Red Devils at 7:30 p.m.

Lincoln County defeated FPD last season 49-27 in a game played at FPD.
