Football’s Will Black Takes Home Two Awards

MACON, Ga. – Senior lineman Will Black was named the Macon Touchdown Club “Lineman of the Week” for his performance in FPD’s 28-18 win over top-ranked Pace Academy in Week 4 of the 2013 season.

Black, a team captain, totaled 24 tackles, good for a new school single-game record. He was also part of 14 first hits and 10 assists, while causing two fumbles and corralling an interception on the night.

“I’m proud of Will and his toughness in overcoming some nagging injuries,” head coach Greg Moore said. “He’s a leader and continues to give everything he’s got for our team on Friday nights.”

Black was also named the 13WMAZ Player of the Week for his efforts.

The Vikings hit the road on Friday night, Sept. 27, traveling to play the Lincoln County Red Devils to open Region 7A play at 7:30 p.m.
