Softball No. 3 in First GHSA Power Ratings of 2013

MACON, Ga. – After winning eight straight games, the First Presbyterian Day School softball team (11-4, 1-0 Reg. 7A) sits at no. 3 in the first power ratings of the 2013 season, released Tuesday, Sept. 10, by the GHSA office.

The rankings are used at the end of the regular season in Class A to determine state playoff qualifiers, with the top-16 teams from public and private schools advancing to the tournament.

FPD had an 8.67 overall ranking and is less than one point behind the top two spots, held by Brookstone and Eagles Landing Christian, respectively.

The Lady Vikings travel to take on GMC Prep in a region game on Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs are ranked no. 2 in Class A public as of Sept. 10.
