Volleyball Wins at Home Against Yeshiva & Upson Lee

MACON, Ga. – The First Presbyterian Day School volleyball team pushed its winning streak to four games on Thursday night, claiming two non-region matches against Yeshiva (26-24/24-26/25-16) and Upson Lee (25-12/25-12).

In FPD’s match against Yeshiva, the Lady Vikings were forced to play three games despite taking the first contest in the best 2-of-3 format.

FPD took an early 7-2 lead, but Yeshiva pulled within one at 9-8 midway through game three.

Leading 16-11, FPD finished the game on a 9-5 run to seal the match for good.

In FPD’s match against Upson Lee, the Lady Vikings wasted no time getting out in front in game one, going on a 7-0 run at the start and eventually winning 25-12.

The Lady Vikings (13-11-3) return to the court on Thursday, Sept. 19, welcoming Americus-Sumter and Mary Persons at 5 & 7 p.m.
