Football at No. 22 in Fifth GHSA Power Ratings of 2013

MACON, Ga. – After an impressive 30-7 region win on the road at GMC last week, the First Presbyterian Day School football team (2-3, 1-1 Reg. 7A) is still in the hunt for playoff spot, ranking at no. 22 in the fifth power ratings of the 2013 season, released today, Oct. 8, by the GHSA office.

The rankings are used at the end of the regular season in Class A to determine state playoff qualifiers, with the top-16 teams from public and private schools advancing to the tournament.

FPD has an overall ranking of 8.73 and is less than two points from a spot in the top-16.

FPD returns to the gridiron on Friday, Oct. 11, welcoming the Twiggs County Cobras to George S. Johnson Stadium with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. on Austin Childers Field.

FPD defeated Twiggs 63-21 last season on Oct. 12.
