Football at No. 26 in Fourth GHSA Power Ratings of 2013

MACON, Ga. – Despite droppings its region opener at Lincoln County last week, the First Presbyterian Day School football team (1-3, 0-1 Reg. 7A) is still in the hunt for playoff spot, ranking at no. 26 in the fourth power ratings of the 2013 season, released today, Oct. 1, by the GHSA office.

The rankings are used at the end of the regular season in Class A to determine state playoff qualifiers, with the top-16 teams from public and private schools advancing to the tournament.

FPD had a 7.5 overall ranking and is just over two points shy for a spot in the top-16.

FPD returns to the gridiron on Friday, Oct. 4, traveling to play the GMC Prep Bulldogs in a region 7-A game.

Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Milledgeville.

FPD defeated GMC last season 31-7 on Oct. 5.
