Football’s Ryan Lindsey Picks Up MTC Award

MACON, Ga. – Senior back Ryan Lindsey was named the Macon Touchdown Club “Back of the Week” on Monday night, Oct. 14 for his performance in FPD’s 48-13 victory over Twiggs County on Oct. 11.

Lindsey racked up 165 yards on six carries on the night, scoring two touchdowns.

One of Lindsey’s touchdowns included a 34-yard interception return in the first quarter.

This is the second FPD football player that has been honored by the Macon Touchdown Club in 2013. Senior Will Black was also recognized during Week Four, respectively.

Head coach Greg Moore is pleased with Lindsey’s efforts.

“I’m really pleased to see Ryan recognized for his work on the field – he has played super,” Moore said. “His commitment to our team for four years speaks volumes about his loyalty and work ethic. He has become a very dependable leader on our program.”

The Vikings (3-3, 2-1 Reg. 7A) return to the gridiron on Friday, Oct. 18, hosting Hancock Central in a region game on Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at George S. Johnson Stadium.
