Softball at No. 4 in Final GHSA Power Ratings of 2013

MACON, Ga. – After an 18-8 regular season and a second place finish in the region 7 tournament, the First Presbyterian Day School softball team is at no. 4 in the final GHSA power ratings of the 2013 season, released Tuesday, Oct. 15, by the GHSA office.

The rankings are used at the end of the regular season in Class A to determine state playoff qualifiers, with the top-16 teams from public and private schools advancing to the tournament.

FPD brought in a final ranking of 13.68. Eagles Landing Christian, Savannah Christian and Prince Avenue hold the top three spots, respectively.

The Lady Vikings return to action in the GHSA Class-A State Playoffs on Oct. 23-24. Time, opponent and location will be determined in the coming days.
