Boys Basketball Drops Region Game to GMC

MACON, Ga. – The FPD boys basketball team (1-13, 0-3 Reg. 7-A) couldn’t overcome an early deficit, falling 61-36 to the Georgia Military College Prep (GMC) Bulldogs 61-36 on Friday night, Jan. 17 at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center in region-7 action.

Senior guard T.J. Sams paced the Vikings on offense, scoring 17 points while senior forward Taylor Burns notched nine points in the loss.

The Bulldogs led 22-13 at the end of the first quarter and 44-20 at halftime.

GMC saw two players in double-figures, led by the 13 points of Quatavius Brisco and the 11 points of Brandon Davis.

The Bulldogs knocked in six three-pointers to the Vikings’ three, respectively.

FPD returns to action on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 18, welcoming Putnam County to the Middlebrooks Athletic Center at 4 p.m.
