Boys Hoops Tame Schley Wildcats

MACON, Ga. – The FPD boys basketball team (2-16) snapped twelve-game losing skid on Saturday evening at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center, defeating the Schley County Wildcats 64-56.

T.J. Sams netted a game-high 29 points, 16 coming in the second half, to lead the Vikings to the victory.

FPD also got balanced scoring with Sams’ offensive outburst as seven other players scored at least four points.

FPD trailed 29-23 at halftime, but outscored the Wildcats 26-10 in the third quarter to take the lead for good.

The Vikings held the advantage from downtown, draining six 3-pointers to the Wildcats’ none.

FPD returns to action on Monday night, hosting Twiggs County in a region-7 contest at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center at 7:30 p.m.

The Cobras defeated FPD on Friday night, Jan. 24, 65-61 in Jeffersonville.
