Girls Basketball Up to No. 17 in GHSA Power Ratings

MACON, Ga. – The fourth edition of the GHSA Class-A Private School girls basketball power rankings were released on Tuesday, January 28, with FPD securing a spot at no. 17 overall, their highest mark this season.

The rankings are used throughout the season to determine the top-16 teams in both Class-A Private and Public, with those schools advancing to the GHSA State Tournament.

The Lady Vikings (12-6, 5-1 Reg. 7) are up three spots from last week’s poll after two wins against Twiggs County and another victory over Schley County.

Altogether, FPD accumulated 7.24 points and remains less than a point out of a spot in the top-16.

Rankings will be released every Tuesday for the remaining duration of the 2013-14 season.
