Boys Hoops Falls in Rd. 1 of Region Tourney to Aquinas

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The FPD boys basketball team saw its season come to an end on Tuesday night, February 11, falling to the Aquinas Fighting Irish 77-52 on the campus of GMC Prep.

Senior T.J. Sams netted 18 points while fellow classmate Caleb Samuel dropped in 13 points in the losing effort.

Senior Taylor Burns chipped with nine points, respectively.

FPD trailed at halftime 34-17 and was outscored in the second period 43-35.

Senior guard Ahmed Hill of Aquinas went on a scoring tear in the contest, pouring in 41 points, including nine made 3-pointers.

FPD bids farewell to its senior class of Sams, Samuel, Burns and Joseph Lengel.
