Boys Golf Takes Match at International City Golf Course

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The FPD boys golf team picked up its first victory of the 2014 season on Wednesday afternoon, March 19, firing a 152 (+16) over 9-holes to defeat Veterans High School and Howard High School at International City Golf Course.

Jacob Fussell paced the Viking attack on the links, shooting a 36 (+2) on the par-34 front nine.

Dalton Taylor secured a round of 37 (+3) and Brantley Wilson totaled a 38 (+4). FPD’s final scorer in the top-4 was Charles Stroud, who notched a 41 (+7).

In the girls match, Cassidy Pearson finished her round with a 55, respectively.

The golf teams return to the links on Thursday afternoon, March 20, taking on Mary Persons High School at Forsyth City Golf Course followed by a match on Tuesday, March 25 at Peach County at Pine Needles.

First tee shots are scheduled for 4 p.m.
