Four Basketball Players Earn All-Region 7 Honors

MACON, Ga. – The FPD girls and boys basketball teams each placed two players on the GHSA Class-A All-Region 7 team.

On the girls side, senior Savannah Phillips and freshman Kate Patterson earned a spot on the squad.

Phillips, FPD’s primary scorer for the 2013-14 season, scored over one-thousand career points in her time in a Lady Viking uniform.

Patterson turned out to be FPD’s primary rebounding threat and also showed her versatility inside and outside the paint all season, helping the Lady Vikings advance to its second trip to the GHSA State Playoffs in school history.

The boys team also placed two players on the All-Region team.

Senior guard T.J. Sams averaged 23.6 points per game. He also scored his one-thousandth career point during the season.

Fellow classmate Caleb Samuel also earned a spot on the All-Region team, averaging over nine points and three rebounds per game.
