Golf Hunts Down Veterans Warhawks, Girls Second

MACON, Ga. – The FPD boys and girls golf teams took to the links on Wednesday afternoon, March 26 against the Warhawks of Veterans High School at Healy Point Country Club with the boys claiming first place and the girls finishing second.

In the boys match, FPD fired a team score of 158 (+14) to best Veterans (187).

Dalton Taylor led all competitors, carding a 38 (+2) in the 9-hole event. Wesley Hanson took second overall with a 39 (+3) while Charles Stroud finished with a 40 (+4).

Brantley Wilson was next for FPD, signing his scorecard with a 41 (+5).

Austin Milwood paced Veterans on the day with a 41 (+6).

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings finished second with a team score of 186 as the Lady Warhawks finished at 171.

Freshman Cassidy Pearson was the low-scorer in the girls event, finishing her round with a 52.

The golf teams return to action on Saturday, March 29, playing in the Colquitt County Packer Tournament.
