Baseball Takes Region Game Against Glascock

MACON, Ga. – The FPD baseball team (12-5, 9-1 Reg. 7) scored 13 runs in the first two innings, blasting Glascock County en route to a 16-1 region win on Wednesday night, April 16, at Ben Harden Field.

Seven different players drove in at least one run for the Vikings, who push their winning streak to four games.

Kendall Friar led all FPD hitters with three RBI’s on the night, while Austin Cox and Sam Jones each pick up two.

Cox was stellar on the hill for the Vikings, throwing three innings while scattering three hits and allowing one run. The lefty also fanned five batters.

Glascock led 1-0 at the end of one half inning, but the Vikings scored 16 unanswered runs for the win.

FPD will look for that same offense on Thursday, April 17 when the GMC Bulldogs come to Ben Harden Field.
