FPD Introduces Viking Fanfare for Families and Friends

MACON, Ga. – The FPD Athletic Department and Athletic Director Greg Moore is pleased to announce the addition of Viking Fanfare before each home football game, excluding Homecoming, for the 2014 season.

“We are excited about introducing Viking Fanfare on Friday night’s,” Moore said. “We are encouraging our students, families and friends to get to campus early for a pre-game, school-wide party to build spirit for the football team and for everything that’s going on at our school.”

Each event will feature free games, bounce houses, face painting, class competitions for middle and high school, pictures with the cheerleaders, music, and concessions by local restaurants.

Viking Fanfare takes place from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. at the practice field and wraps up with a big welcome to the football players as they cross the Viking Walk going into the stadium.

The dates for Viking Fanfare are as follows: August 29 vs. Howard, September 12 vs. Monticello, October 3 vs. Stratford and October 24 vs. Wilkinson County.

“There are a great amount of folks on our campus on Friday night’s,” Moore said. “It will be a great way to get everyone connected and continue the mission of our school.”
