Girls 6th, Boys 7th at Wesleyan Invitational Meet

PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. – The FPD girls and boys cross country teams competed in their second meet of the 2014 season on Saturday morning, Sept. 13, at the Wesleyan Invitational hosted by Wesleyan High School.

The Lady Vikings posted a sixth place finish out of eight teams. FPD’s Mackenzie Peterson paced the team with an eighth place finish, clocking in at 23:06.

In the boys meet, the Vikings finished seventh out of 10 teams.

Will Martin finished in first place overall on the day, posting a time of 18:06 to lead the Viking squad. Bryce Little crossed the finish line at the 19:14 mark, good for a ninth place finish overall.

The cross country teams are back to racing on Wednesday, Sept. 17, running in the Stratford Invitational in Macon. The girls meet gets underway at 4:40 p.m. and the boys race starts at 5:10 p.m.
