Volleyball Claims Two Wins at Pacelli

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The FPD volleyball team claimed two wins on Tuesday night, Sept. 23, defeating Pacelli 2-0 (25-9/25-23) before claiming another 2-0 victory over Randolph-Clay (25-9/25-7). The win brings FPD’s season record to one game below .500 at 14-15 overall.

The Lady Vikings used a strong performance from sophomore Kate Patterson in the win over Pacelli. Patterson finished with six kills and five aces in the match.

Sophomore Bailey Ruble and senior Alisha Napier each notched three aces in the victory while sophomore Mackenzie Johnson completed the match with five aces and three kills.

The Lady Vikings followed up their win against Pacelli with a 2-0 defeat of Randolph-Clay.

Classmates Patterson and Kirsten Beach closed out the match with nine kills combined. Senior Tesch Jerles dropped in five aces as well.

The Lady Vikings hit the court again on Thursday night, traveling to McDonough for matches against Northgate at 6 p.m. and ELCA at 7 p.m. Both matches will be played on the campus of ELCA.
