Football to No. 13 in Nov. 4 GHSA Power Ratings

THOMASTON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the ninth edition of the Class-A Private Football Power Ratings on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with the FPD Vikings grabbing a spot at 13th overall.

The ratings are used to determine the Top-16 teams from Class-A Public and Private on a weekly basis. At season’s end, those teams qualify for the GHSA Class-A State Playoffs.

FPD (6-3, 3-2 A-Reg. 7-A) ranks in with 11.53 points with wins over Howard, Monticello, GMC Prep, Mt. de Sales, Wilkinson County and Twiggs County. Aquinas leads the list with 14.71 points followed by Calvary Day School at 14.67.

According to the polls, the Vikings dropped one spot after last week’s 55-28 sub-region victory at Twiggs County on Oct. 31.

The Vikings return to play on Friday night, Nov. 7, traveling to GMC Prep for the GHSA Region-7A cross-over game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Davenport Field in Milledgeville.
