Wilco Lady Warriors Rally Past Lady Vikings 53-46

IRWINTON, Ga. – FPD Sophomore Kate Patterson scored a game-high 26 points, but in the end the Wilkinson County Lady Warriors proved to be too much down the stretch, handing the Lady Vikings a 53-46 loss on Friday night, Jan. 16 at The Palace in Region-7A play.

The Lady Warriors outscored the Lady Vikings 39-10 in the second half to pull away for the win.

Wilco’s Regan Davis finished with a team-best 15 points, 12 of which came in the second half. Jaclomiyah Bolson chipped in with 10 points as well for the Lady Warriors, who pushed its winning streak to three straight.

FPD started the contest on a strong note leading 17-7 after the first quarter and 29-14 at halftime.

Both squads capitalized from the free throw line. The Lady Warriors racked up 19 points from the charity stripe while the Lady Vikings dropped in 20 free tosses.

The Lady Vikings will look to snap its current two-game slide on Tuesday night, Jan. 20, hosting the Twiggs County Lady Cobras in another Region-7 contest.

Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center.

FPD defeated Twiggs 48-34 on Jan. 2 in Jeffersonville.
