Boys Soccer Nets Win Over Northside in PK’s

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The FPD boys soccer team (4-1-1) tied the Northside High School Eagles 1-1 in regulation before taking the match in penalty kicks 5-4 on Monday night, March 9 in non-region play.

“Tonight was a battle,” FPD head coach Josh Trieste said. “We didn’t play like we wanted to but were able to come out with a win. Penalty kicks are always nerve-racking and thankfully we came away ahead 5-4 at the end.”

Spencer Ennis scored FPD’s goal in regulation off an assist from Kevin Griggs.

The Vikings outshot the Eagles 8-6 on the night.

FPD keeper Dontrez Johnson picked up five saves in the winning bid.

The Vikings return to the pitch on Thursday afternoon, March 12, hosting the Northside Patriots (Columbus) at 5:30 p.m. at the FPD Soccer Complex.
