Baseball at No. 6 in April 28 Power Ratings

MACON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the seventh edition of the Class-A Private Baseball Power Ratings on Tuesday, April 28, with the FPD Vikings (17-4, 8-4 Reg. 7-A) grabbing a spot at no. 6 overall.

The ratings are updated on a weekly basis and used at the end of the season to determine state playoff pairings. The Top-16 teams in the rankings advance to the postseason.

FPD, who was ranked no. 7 a week ago, totaled 13.68 points in the ratings after going 1-1 last week.

Brackets will be released on Wednesday afternoon, April 29, after the GHSA hears and settles power rating appeals.

If the Vikings hold a place in the Top-8 after appeals, FPD will host the first round.

The first round is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, May 1-2 for a best-of-three game series. Games 1 and 2 are Friday while Game 3, if necessary, would be played on Saturday.
