FPD Tennis Set for GHSA Class-A State Tournament

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity girls and boys tennis teams will compete in the first round of the GHSA Class-A State Tournament on Monday, April 27 at various locations.

“We’re excited to be playing in the state tournament this year,” FPD head coach Derek Lashley said. “Any time you qualify for state, it’s a true honor and privilege. Our kids are ready to get started.”

At noon, the Vikings (9-10) the no. 4 seed from Area-1 will travel to Kennesaw, Ga. to play the Mt. Paran Eagles (12-4), the no. 1 seed from Area-4.

At 2:30 p.m., the Lady Vikings (16-3), the no. 3 seed from Area-1, will serve up its first round match against the Mt. Pisgah Patriots (9-4) in Johns Creek, Ga. The Lady Patriots are the no. 2 seed from Area-4.
