Parking and Tailgating Information for FPD Football v. Howard at Mercer

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity football team opens the 2015 season against the Howard High School Huskies on Thursday night, August 27 at 7 p.m. at Mercer University’s Five Star Stadium and fans are encouraged to arrive early to participate in Viking Tailgating and pre-game activities.

“We want a big crowd there for our first game at what is certainly a special venue,” FPD head coach Greg Moore said. “We are looking forward to everything that involves Thursday night – from arrival to kickoff to the final horn.”

For directions to Five Star Stadium from FPD:
—Turn left out of FPD and take Foster Road until it turns into Bass Rd.
—Take Bass Rd. past Mabel White Baptist Church and Chilck-Fil-A and turn RIGHT on I-75 S.
—Take I-75 S TO THE RIGHT at the I-75/I-16 split.
—Follow I-75 S and take EXIT 163.
—Turn Left off EXIT 163 onto Mercer University Drive.
—Follow Mercer University Dr. to Stadium Dr. and turn left for parking.

Fans are welcome to tailgate along the grassy areas outside the stadium and in the parking lot so long as to not block the flow of incoming traffic.

Upon game time, fans will enter the main entrance of Five Star Stadium via the Butler Family Plaza. Fans must show a pre-sale ticket purchased on FPD’s campus, buy a ticket for $10 at the gate or have a GHSA Coaching Pass for entry.

When walking into the stadium, all FPD fans, band and cheerleaders will be stationed on the LEFT side of the bleachers, as only one side will be open for Thursday’s contest.

No RedZone, CompPasses or Reserved Seating Tickets will be acknowledged at the main gate of Five Star Stadium.

If there are no parking spots available upon arrival, fans will be directed to park off of College Street.
