Football No. 11 in First GHSA Class-A Private Power Ratings for 2015

THOMASTON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the first edition of the Class-A Private Football Power Ratings on Tuesday, Sept. 8 with the Vikings (0-1) grabbing a spot at no. 11 overall.

The ratings are used to determine the Top-16 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

FPD ranks in with 11.50 points despite an opening week 35-17 loss to Howard High School on August 27 at Mercer University.

The Vikings return to play on Friday, Sept. 11, traveling to Monticello High School to take on the Hurricanes in a non-region contest.

Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Monticello’s Rose Bowl Stadium.

The Vikings are 1-0 all-time against the Hurricanes after snagging a 9-6 GHSA-ruled weather-shortened victory in 2014 at Austin Childers Field at George S. Johnson Stadium.
