Football Up to No. 19 in Seventh GHSA Class-A Power Ratings

THOMASTON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the seventh edition of the Class-A Private Football Power Ratings on Tuesday, Oct. 20 with the Vikings (3-4, 1-2 Reg. 7A) coming in at no. 19 overall in the polls.

The ratings are used to determine the Top-16 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

FPD ranks in with 9.13 points after claiming a 31-6 Homecoming win over Tattnall Square on Friday, Oct. 16.

The Vikings return to play on Friday, Oct. 23, traveling to Wilkinson County High School (5-2, 2-1 Reg. 7A) for a Sub-Region 7-A contest.

Kickoff against the Warriors is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Iriwnton, Ga.

The Vikings knocked off the Warriors in 2014 at home, a 41-32 win at Austin Childers Field at George S. Johnson Stadium on Oct. 24.
