Football Moves Up to No. 16 in Ninth GHSA Class-A Private Power Ratings

THOMASTON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the ninth edition of the Class-A Private Football Power Ratings on Tuesday, Nov. 3 with the Vikings (5-4, 3-2 Reg. 7A) coming in at no. 16 overall in the polls.

The ratings are used to determine the Top-16 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

FPD ranks in with 10.40 points after claiming a 52-38 Sub-Region-7 victory over Twiggs County High School last Friday, Oct. 30 at home.

The Vikings return to play on Friday, Nov. 6, hosting the Hancock Central High School Bulldogs (4-5, 2-2 B Reg. 7) in the Region-7 Crossover.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Austin Childers Field at George S. Johnson Stadium.

The Vikings last played the Bulldogs in the 2013 season, claiming a 41-8 victory in Sparta, Ga. during the regular season.
