School Set for Viking Send-Off on Friday, Nov. 20 for Football Team

MACON, Ga. – The no. 16-seeded FPD varsity football team (6-4) will travel to no.1-seeded Prince Avenue (10-0) for the first round of the GHSA Class-A Private State Playoffs on Friday, Nov. 20, and the school has planned a special send-off event for the squad upon its departure from campus.

Students, faculty, staff, parents and fans are all encouraged to line the sides of the road in front of the Clark Fine Arts Building on campus beginning at 1:20 p.m. on Friday.

The bus will depart at approximately 1:30 p.m. to Athens. Fans are also encouraged to bring signs and cheer loud for the Vikings.

“Our guys and coaching staff are always appreciative of the support,” FPD head football coach Greg Moore said. “We’re excited to be in the playoffs and have been working hard gearing up for Friday’s game.”
