Swimming Results from Dec. 10 Candy Cane Invitational Now Available

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The FPD varsity girls and boys swim teams took to the water last week on Dec. 10 at the Candy Cane Invitational at Georgia College in a meet co-hosted by Perry High School and Northside High School (Warner Robins).

The Vikings came away with a fourth place finish out of nine teams, totaling 214 points while the Lady Vikings placed fifth of eight teams with 165.5 points.

Highlights from the meet included:

-Hanny Marone’s first place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:06.17.
-Bethany Martinez’s first Place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 6:48.79.
-Boys 200 Freestyle Relay Team 1:44.82 with a first place finish (Alex Bercik, Hanny Marone, Austin Hartley, and Dane Wiggins).

The results were given late in the weekend of Dec. 12-13.

The varsity swim teams are back in action after Christmas Break, hosting a meet on Jan. 8 at the Northside Pool at 7 p.m.
