Lady Vikings No. 11 in First GHSA Class-A Private Basketball Power Ratings on Jan. 12

THOMASTON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the first edition of the Class-A Private Basketball Power Ratings on Tuesday, Jan. 12 with the Lady Vikings  (10-6, 3-1 Reg. 7A) coming in at no. 11 overall in the polls.

The ratings are used to determine the Top-16 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

FPD ranks in with 7.38 points after claiming a some impressive wins this year that include 5A Carver, 4A Mary Persons, and 4A Monroe Area. The Lady Vikings have also defeated George Walton, Schley County, Twiggs County, Brookstone twice, Twiggs County, Mount de Sales and arch-rival Stratford Academy.

The Lady Vikings return to play on Friday, Jan. 15, hosting the Wilkinson County Lady Warriors in a Region 7-A contest.

Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. at Coach Mac’s Court at the Middlebrooks Atlhletic Center.

The last time the Lady Vikings played the Lady Warriors was Feb. 3, 2015, coming away with a 42-40 victory.
