Vikings Come in at No. 12 in First GHSA Class-A Private Power Ratings for Jan. 12

THOMASTON, Ga. – The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) released the first edition of the Class-A Private Basketball Power Ratings on Tuesday, Jan. 12 with the Vikings  (10-4, 3-1 Reg. 7A) coming in at no. 12 overall in the polls.

The ratings are used to determine the Top-16 teams from Class-A Public and Private. At season’s end, those teams advance to the GHSA State Playoffs.

FPD ranks in with 7.54 points after claiming a some impressive wins this year that include GMC Prep twice, George Walton, 4A Mary Persons, Brookstone twice, 5A Clarkston, Twiggs County, Mount de Sales and Tattnall Square.

The Vikings return to action on Friday, Jan. 15, hosting the Wilkinson County Warriors in a Region 7-A contest.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Coach Mac’s Court at the Middlebrooks Atlhletic Center.

The last time the Vikings played the Warriors was Feb. 3, 2015, with FPD falling 80-45 at home.
