Boys Soccer Knocks Off Valwood 2-1 at Home

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity boys soccer team (6-4-2) picked up a non-area victory on Tuesday night, defeating the Valwood Valiants 2-1 at the FPD Soccer Complex.

The victory is the third for FPD in the last four matches and the first since returning from the Spring Break Holiday.

FPD netted two goals, one from Spencer Ennis and the other from Noah Lyu to provide the offense.

Lyu and Robert Johnson also picked up an assist in the win.

The Vikings held the shot advantage 16-11 over Valwood.

FPD keeper Dontrez Johnson racked up nine saves while Valwood goalie Cole McLendon finished with six.

Valwood’s lone goal came via the foot of Andrew Heckaman.

The Vikings will take Wednesday off before returning to the pitch on Thursday, April 7, traveling to Tattnall Square Academy for an Area-2 match.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
