Volleyball Snags 2-0 Victory at Taylor County

BUTLER, Ga. – The FPD varsity volleyball team (5-4) picked up a 2-0 road win on Monday night, defeating Taylor County High School in two sets, 25-11 and 25-5.

The Lady Vikings totaled 14 kills in the match, led by the six of Emily Cox. Mackenzie Johnson and Lundy Lader also had three kills while Kirsten Beach netted two.

FPD was on fire with its service as well, finishing with 11 aces on the night.

Caitlin Farr led the Lady Vikings with five aces followed by four from Cox. Sophie Seneker and Morgan Mullis each had one kill in the win.

Seneker led the squad in digs with five and Mullis and Cox tallied three each. Emmie Cate Powell also finished with one dig.

The Lady Vikings are back in action quickly, traveling to Upson-Lee High School on Tuesday, August 30.

First serve is set for 5 p.m. in Thomaston, Ga.
