Volleyball Sweeps Home Opener Against Tattnall and Northside

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity volleyball team (2-2) opened the 2016 home portion of its schedule on Thursday night, August 18, at the Middlebrooks Athletic Center defeating the Tattnall Square Lady Trojans 2-0 [25-11, 25-4] followed by a 2-0 win over the Northside Lady Eagles 2-0 [26-24, 25-23].

In the match against Tattnall, FPD totaled nine kills in the victory.

Bailey Ruble finished with five aces, Mackenzie Johnson had four and Emmie Cate Powell totaled three.

The Lady Vikings’ match against Northside proved to be a closer decision, but FPD held strong for the victory.

Johnson finished with six kills while Lundy Lader had five kills and two blocks. Sophie Seneker had four digs.

FPD will return to action on Tuesday, August 23, hosting Strong Rock and Lee County at 5 p.m.
