FPD to Broadcast Softball vs. Holy Innocents in GHSA Class-A Sweet 16 on Oct. 19-20

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity softball team (25-4) will host the Holy Innocents Lady Golden Bears (12-12) in the GHSA Class-A Private State Tournament Sweet 16 on Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 19-20, in a best-of-three game series at the FPD Softball Complex.

FPD is pleased to announce that it will audio broadcast all games of the series.

On Wednesday, FPD will play two contests, with Game One starting at 2 p.m. and Game Two beginning at 4 p.m.

Pre-game coverage on the Viking Sports Radio Network begins at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

FPD is the no. 3 seed in the GHSA Class-A Private State Tournament while Holy Innocents is the no. 14 seed.

If the Lady Vikings win the series, they will move on to the GHSA Class-A Private Elite Eight in Columbus, Ga. for a fourth consecutive season.

Chandler Lee, “The Voice of the Vikings,” will have the call on the Viking Sports Radio Network throughout the series and entire state playoff run.
