Football Closes 2016 Season with Annual Banquet

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity football team held its annual end-of-the-season banquet on Wednesday night, Jan. 5, in the ZACH Gymnasium on the campus of FPD.

“Our banquet is a great time for our football family to reflect and celebrate all of the positive things that came from our season,” FPD head coach Greg Moore said. “I take great pride in being able to honor the young men that give so much of themselves for our team and our school.”

The following awards were given out Wednesday night:

“It’s always a special time for us to honor our players – particularly our seniors – at the end of season banquet,” Moore said. “Our coaches have a very personal interest in our players, and their tribute to each senior shows that attention in a very meaningful way.”

FPD finished the season at 7-5 and picked up its second GHSA Class-A Private postseason victory in program history over Aquinas on Nov. 11.
