Swimming Results: January 6, 2017 at Northside Pool

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity swim teams were in action on Friday night, Jan. 6, hosting a meet at the Northside Pool.

The Lady Vikings came away with a second place finish, totaling 350 points. Stratford took first with 402 points.

Vivianna Chang placed first in the 200-Yard and 500-Yard Freestyle, clocking in at 2:09.72 and 5:41.63.

Madelyn Baltz also claimed first in the 50-Yard Freestyle at 28.90 and second in the 200-Yard Freestyle at 2:23.44.

Olivia Bogges was third in 50-Yard Freestyle, finishing at 31.05.

FPD’s 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team of Baltz, Lindsey Strickland, Bethany Martinez and Chang claimed the top spot at 2:07.51.

The Lady Vikings also placed first in the 400-Yard Freestyle (Baltz, Bogges, Martinez and Chang) with a time of 4:49.69.

In the boys meet, the Vikings took fourth place overall with 271 points. Stratford was first (373) followed by Northside High School (316) and Mount de Sales (285).

Hanny Marone placed first in the 100-yard Freestyle at 55.19 and also took second in the 50-Yard Freestyle at 25.64

FPD’s 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team of Tyler Kelly, Luke Douglas, Mac Willingham and Will Dasher placed first out of 11 teams, punching the clock at 30.51.

The Viking 400-Yard Freestyle Relay team of Austin Hartley, Dane Wiggins, Alex Bercik and Marone took home a second place finish at 4:11.14.

The FPD swim teams are back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 11, traveling to Harris County High School for a meet at 4 p.m.
