Lacrosse Falls at Home to Union Grove 10-7

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity lacrosse team (0-2) dropped its second consecutive match on Friday night, Feb. 17, falling to the 5A Union Grove Wolverines (2-0) at Austin Childers Field at George S. Johnson Memorial Stadium.

The Vikings led at halftime 5-3, but the Wolverines outscored FPD 7-4 in the final period to take the win.

Brandon Paxton and Tucker Bryant led the Vikings charge on offense, each scoring two goals.

Austin Bardash, Alex Bercick and Klein Woods each had one goal in the loss.

Woods finished with two assists in the contest while Paxton tallied one.

Will Ware took the loss in the goal for FPD and snagged 13 saves.

The Vikings are back in action on Friday, Feb. 24, traveling to Mount de Sales Academy.

Face-off is slated for 6 p.m. at Cavalier Fields.
