Lacrosse Picks Up First Varsity Win in Program History Over Mount de Sales, 16-6

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity lacrosse team (1-2) picked up its first varsity win in program history on Friday night, Feb. 24, defeating the Mount de Sales Cavaliers 16-6 at Cavalier Fields.

The Vikings jumped out to an early advantage, leading 8-3 at halftime.

FPD finished the match on an 8-3 run to take the victory in convincing fashion.

Klein Woods led the offensive charge for the Vikings with five goals. Austin Bardash netted four goals while Will Watson knocked in three scores.

Brandon Paxton and Alex Bercick finished with two goals and one goal, respectively.

Will Ware earned the victory in the net for the Vikings, picking up 10 saves on the night.

The Vikings will look to get to the .500 mark on Tuesday, Feb. 28, hosting McIntosh.

Face-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Austin Childers Field at George S. Johnson Memorial Stadium.
