Boys Golf Takes Second at Lafayette Invitational

LAFAYETTE, Ga. – The FPD varsity boys golf team took second place at the Lafayette Invitational on Saturday, March 4, at the Lafayette Golf Course, carding a team score of 303 (15-over par).

Wesley Hanson led the way for the Vikings, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team with a 2-over 74.

Jay Spivey finished with a 3-over 75 while Luke Dasher and Wilson Andress finished at 76 and 78, respectively.

First place went to the host Lafayette High School with a team score of 298.

Ft. Payne took third at 317 while Gordon Lee placed fourth at 319.

The Vikings are back in action on Monday, March 6, hosting the Strong Rock Christian School Patriots at Healy Point Country Club.

Opening tee shots are set for 4 p.m.
