Boys and Girls Soccer Tame Dooly County Bobcats

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity boys and girls soccer teams were in action on Monday night, April 10, hosting the Dooly County Bobcats at the Girardeau Fieldhouse at the FPD Soccer Complex.

In the boys match, the Vikings (8-4-3) picked up a 2-1 victory over the Bobcats.

Noah Lyu and Austin Cox each netted goals for the Vikings while Hosea Cruz tallied one goal for Dooly County.

Dane Wiggins assisted both goals for the Vikings and Josh Raines picked up three saves in goal.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings (15-0) remained unbeaten with a 1o-0 victory over the Lady Bobcats.

With the win, the Lady Vikings have now outscored opponents 105-1 on the 2017 campaign.

In Tuesday’s match, Emma Lako and Elizabeth nelson each recorded a hat trick with three goals apiece.

Alyssa Dubose added two goals for FPD, while Jansyn Samples and Kennedy Cauley posted one goal.

Five out of 1o FPD goals were assisted in the match.

Lindsey Strickland had two assists, while Kate Patterson, Lako and Samples each recorded one.

The Lady Vikings out-shot Dooly County 14-1.

The varsity soccer teams return to action on Thursday, April 13, hosting The Brookstone School Cougars in Area-2 play.

Kickoff for the varsity girls match is set for 5:30 p.m. with the varsity boys to follow at 7:30 p.m. at FPD.
