Girls and Boys Soccer Power Past Tattnall Square on Senior Night

MACON, Ga. – The FPD varsity girls and boys soccer teams combined to outscore the Tattnall Square Academy Lady Trojans and Trojans 15-1 on Tuesday night, April 18, en route to easy Area-2 victories on Senior Night at the FPD Soccer Complex.

In the varsity girls match, the Lady Vikings (17-0) remained unbeaten with a 10-0 victory.

FPD led 8-0 at halftime and scored two in the second half to bring the mercy rule into effect.

Emma Lako had a memorable Senior Night, scoring five goals while also tallying one assist.

Jansyn Samples netted  two goals while Molly Lee, Anna Lako and Alyssa Dubose posted one score.

Elizabeth Nelson and Ashton Haver led the Lady Vikings with two assists each. Kate Patterson, Samples, and Frame also finished with one assist.

The Lady Vikings out-shot the Lady Trojans 22-1.

The Lady Vikings have only allowed one goal in 2017 and have outscored opponents 115-1 on the year.

In the nightcap, the Vikings (9-5-3) took down the Trojans 5-1.

Dane Wiggins accounted for all of the Viking goals in the win while Tattnall’s Adam Musolf tallied one score.

FPD pushed its lead to 3-0 at halftime and added two more scores in the second period.

FPD’s Stephen Summerow and Elliott Park each notched two assists in the victory.

Josh Raines and Roy Shen combined for four saves (two each) for the Vikings while Payton Braddy picked up seven caroms for the Trojans.

The Vikings out-shot the Trojans 14-8.

The Lady Vikings and Vikings return to the pitch on Thursday, April 20, traveling to Upson-Lee High School.

Kickoff for the girls match is set for 5:30 p.m. with the boys to follow at 7:30 p.m. in Thomaston, Ga.
