MACON, Ga. – Still playing and still unbeaten.

The FPD varsity girls soccer team (20-0) coasted to a 3-0 playoff victory on Tuesday night, May 2, defeating the Lakeview Lady Lions at the FPD Soccer Complex.

The Lady Vikings advance to the GHSA Class-A Elite Eight for the seventh consecutive year since joining the league in the 2010 academic year.

With 33:15 to play in the match, Kate Patterson scored her first of two goals to give FPD a 1-0 lead.

Nearly three minutes later, Emma Lako sent a corner kick into the box and Patterson headed the goal past the Lakeview keeper Ansley Rochester for a 2-0 lead with 30:18 to play.

The final goal sealed the win for the Lady Vikings.

With 20:18 left in regulation, Patterson slid along the end-line and found a sprinting Karsten Herron, who powered in FPD’s third and final goal.
