FPD Golfer Wilson Andress Signs With Georgia Southern



Senior Wilson Andress earlier today signed in the NCAA’s early signing period with Georgia Southern one of the nation’s top collegiate programs. Andress was a member of the 2017 FPD Class-A State Championship team which was the first golf title for FPD since 1979 and one of the key returners to this year’s team.


“We are excited about Wilson choosing to join our program because of his character, determination and competitiveness. We believe he will add a lot to our team culture,” said Georgia Southern Head Golf Coach Carter Collins.


Andress is currently the #12 recruit in the state of Georgia. His career highlights include, winning the SJGT Glen Arven Jr Classic, finishing 3rd in the SJGT Southeastern and a top 10 finish in the AJGA Kansas Jr.  “He has a very solid overall game and a great set of hands around the greens,” said Collins.



Off the course and in the classroom Andress is a member of the National Honors Society, is an active participant in United in Pink and has a GPA of 3.94.


Andress and his teammates tee off the 2018 season Saturday March 3rd in Athens, Georgia in the Athens UGA Top 10.
