Back To Back State Champs!

The FPD Clay Target Shooting Team is GISA State Champs for the second consecutive year finishing with a team score of 819, which was 20 ahead of runner-up John Hancock.


The top scorer for FPD was Sophomore Bryce Daniel who finished with a 277. The other top 3 were Sophomore Tate Skipper (272), Junior Bryce Floyd (270) and Freshman Dallas Ward (270). Ward would also finish first in the female division with the highest overall average.


The Clay Target Team had finished fourth at the Forest City Gun Club earlier in November, which was their only finish outside the top three all season. This weekend however when they returned to the club in Savannah this team was ready to defend their title and defend it they did. In Skeet Daniel, and Skipper would lead the scoring with a 99. In Sporting Floyd who lead with an 89 and Daniel would follow with an 88. In Trap Ward would lead all FPD shooters with a 92 and Daniel along with Skipper would end up with a 90.


Part of the team will return to the Forest City Gun Club later this week to compete in the GICAA State Shotgun Final looking to add to their hardware collection.
