About FPD Sports

The Athletic Department at First Presbyterian Day School provides unique opportunities outside the classroom for “educating and equipping students to change the world for God’s glory.” We seek excellence in all of our programs, and we do so through the teaching of biblical truths that carry life lessons and eternal value.

The Vikings compete inter-scholastically in Class-A of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA). Varsity competition is offered in football, volleyball, cross country, softball, swimming, wrestling, basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, track & field, gymnastics and clay target shooting.

We enjoy a rich tradition of championship performance, claiming numerous state and region championships since the founding of the school in 1970. The school spirit generated through FPD athletic events is an important part of the student life experience on campus.

Upcoming Events

FPD hosts Heritage in the first round of the 2020 GHSA football playoffs

The FPD varsity football team will host Heritage (Newnan) in the first round of the 2020 GHSA playoffs. FPD is the Region 1 top seed and Heritage is the Region 4 fourth seed. This past Friday FPD claimed the first Region Championship in football since joining the GHSA in 2010. Go Vikings!
